Sonex non stick woks, known in Pakistan as karahi, are made in our own Gujranwala factory, where we have manufactured cookware since 1950. Choose from four ranges in sizes from 24 cm to 40 cm. The Classic Wok and Cooking Wok come with a tempered glass lid. The Super and Royal Deep Woks are built for everyday stir-frying and frying. Our largest Cooking Wok holds up to 11.5 litres, which is enough for a dawat or a big family karahi.

Every Sonex karahi has a [PFOA-free] non stick coating on an aluminium body that heats fast and evenly. Chicken karahi, bhuna gosht, fried rice and pakoras need less oil, and the pan wipes clean in seconds. Free delivery and cash on delivery are available across Pakistan.

Non Stick Wok & Karahi: Common Questions

What is the difference between a wok and a karahi?

They are the same type of pan: deep, with rounded sides. "Karahi" is the name used in Pakistan, and "wok" is the international name. A Sonex wok works for desi karahi dishes as well as stir-fry, frying and noodles.

Which wok size should I buy?

For 1–2 people, choose 24–26 cm. For a family of 3–5, choose 28–30 cm. For larger families, choose 32 cm or more. For dawats and gatherings, the Sonex Cooking Wok comes in sizes up to 40 cm and holds up to 11.5 litres.

Can I use a Sonex wok on an induction stove?

[The woks in this collection are made for gas and electric stoves.] For induction cooktops, see the Sonex Induction Series.

Is non stick karahi safe for daily cooking?

Yes. Sonex uses a [PFOA-free], food-grade non stick coating. To keep it in good condition, cook on low to medium heat, use wooden or silicone spoons, and never heat the pan empty.

How much does a Sonex wok cost, and how is it delivered?

The price depends on the range and size. Delivery is free across Pakistan, cash on delivery is available, and you get a 7-day easy return.
